Fear not the pain that none can see
Fear not the day as it slowly twists and turns
Fear not the gaze of strangers who look at me
And fear not the hurt that burns
Fear not the body that falls and aches
Fear not the life that recedes
Fear not the time that drains like sand
And fear not each hourly needs.
Fate has written a different song that I must sing until the end
And when that song us finally sung, I fear not what will not mend.
Time is a precious gift given to those with bodies that are free
But time can be an endless void
For those with lives like me.
